CHARLOTTE, N. C. –  It is pretty easy to recycle those plastic bottles and aluminum cans, but when it comes to those heavy duty items, Queen City Recycling & Salvage has you covered.  Wilson was at QC Recycling today in his favorite Panther themed hard hat finding out more about how they recycle those large and heavy duty items.

After threatening to crush Derek’s “daddy-van” Wilson jumped onto one of the heavy duty cranes used in the process and received an up-close and personal look at how a car can turn into a cube in about 3 minutes.

On Wednesday, June 17th, QC Recycling will host its first Recycling Metal to Recycle Lives fundraiser at Sugar Creek Brewing Company.  The event is to benefit mental health illness and homelessness in Charlotte through Queen City’s Second Chance program.  The event will include a silent auction, food and music as well as the opportunity to bid on a Yamaha Bolt Motorcycle.  Find out more about the event as well as Queen City’s Second Chance program HERE.

Queen City Recycling & Salvage is located at 2800 N. Tryon Street in Charlotte.
