Student Group Aims To Highlight The Best Of West Meck
CHARLOTTE, NC– The group ‘Uplift West Meck’ says it’s goal is to curb the negative stereotypes associated with the high school. Students participated in a march on Tuckaseegee Road this afternoon.
Teens we talked to say they want to celebrate their school and everything it has to offer.
Student Miracle Farrar says “I just feel like a lot of the positive stuff doesn’t get shown and we just want our presence in the community to be known as a positive one.”
“I want to show that West Meck is so much better then people put on us because we’re so much better then the negative things, because we’re not the only school that has a bad reputation.” said student Brianne Shires
The group is planning a community cookout on May 20th.
