Five Suspects Arrested In Connection To Multiple Thefts Near Lake James

BURKE COUNTY, NC — Deputies have arrested six suspects for their involvement in several breaking and entering and theft cases near Lake James over the past several weeks.

Officials have arrested Brandon Fox, Travis Scott, Anthony Mull, Terry Brown, Johnnie Hickman, and Heather Brown on multiple charges.

According to reports, about two weeks ago information led detectives to George Drive in Nebo where they found a Sea-doo with a trailer and a Polaris 4-wheeler that had been reported stolen. Deputies returned to the location about week later and arrested Scott, Hickman, and Terry and Heather Brown.

Deputies then found a motorcycle and a second 4-wheeler last week off Browning View Road in two separate fields and wooded areas.

Officials say Mull was arrested at a garage off Highway 70 West near Glen Alpine on Thursday, and on Friday Fox was arrested on Snowhill Church Road when deputies found him in the trunk of his girlfriend’s car with a loaded 12 gauge shotgun and drugs at his side.

This investigation is ongoing and investigators say more arrests are expected.
