Wilson’s World: Visiting with Campers and Volunteers at Camp Cadet

TEGA CAY, S.C. – Wilson was in York County, South Carolina this morning where he was visiting with the campers and volunteers of Camp Cadet. The free camp is the brainchild of the Tega Cay Police Department.
This camp focuses on rising 5th, 6th and 7th graders with the purpose of education and fostering good relationships between children and Public Safety officers through an interactive environment. The week is filled with an emphasis on education, responsibility and fun activities including Fire education, Police K-9 demonstration, Swat Demonstration, water activities, amusement park, and much more.
The camp is free to attend and is funded entirely by donations and fund raisers. A child can attend by completing an application and obtaining a letter of recommendation from a sponsor. To find out more about the camp and how your child could attend next year, go to there website HERE.
