Wilson’s World: The 2017 Carolina Renaissance Festival is in Full Swing

Enjoy the fun at the Carolina Renaissance Festival weekends through November 19th. Hazzah!

HUNTERSVILLE, N.C. – Every year at this time the Carolina Renaissance Festival comes back to the area with everything from an exciting joust to a more than filling hot turkey leg. Wilson stopped by the festival on their day off to find out what is going on this weekend.

Wilson was joined by Ded Bob who was up a little earlier than normal to talk about Halloween at RenFest.  The weekend before Halloween kids can come into the festival and enjoy trick or treating.

Also joining Wilson to give us a preview of their entertaining styles were Hey Nunnie Nunnie, London Broil, Zilch the TorySteller, the Rambling Sailors, Bathos the Muse and the Irish Rogues.

This weekend RenFest will be having a BrewFest.  Visitors can enjoy fine ales and enjoy beer games.  Costumed ladies are invited to participate in the Sauce Wench Costume Contest.  BrewFest activities begin at 12 noon, last call at 3:30 with activities ending at 4pm.

Every weekend there are 12 stages that are continuously filled with music, dance, comedy and circus style fun.  The Artisan Marketplace is a shopper’s paradise.  And, when you get a little hungry, make sure to check out the assortment of foods and confections that can be found around the festival.

The Carolina Renaissance Festival continues Saturday and Sundays through November 19th.  For more information or to buy tickets online go to carolina.renfestinfo.com.  Tickets can also be purchased at local Harris Teeter stores.

The Carolina Renaissance Festival is located at 16445 Poplar Ten Road in Huntersville.
