Wilson’s World: In the Johnson & Wales Kitchen for the S&D Culinary Challenge
CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Wilson took us in the kitchen at Johnson & Wales University for the finals of the 8th Annual S&D Culinary Challenge. The contest is down to 11 finalists who will be competing today to win $10,000 from S&D Coffee & Tea.
The theme of this year’s challenge is “Show you Foodways with a Cold Brew Twist.” Students have submitted Southern inspired recipes that incorporate S&D’s Toddy cold brew coffee. The finalist students have been paired up with local chefs to mentor them and help them with their recipes. The finals will be held later today in the Hance Auditorium at Johnson & Wales University.
S&D Coffee & Tea‘s roots go back to 1927 and now includes premium coffee and tea, cold brewed and iced coffees; they also provide extracts for booked goods, sauces and steak marinades.
