Wilson’s World: With CMPD AC&C Talking Summer Pet Safety and Kitten & Cat Adoptions

CHARLOTTE, N.C. –  It was kitten cuteness overload this morning when Wilson visited Charlotte Mecklenburg Police Department Animal Care and Control to talk about summer pet safety and cat and kitten adoption.

Officers from CMPD talked with Wilson about some of the calls they have received this summer regarding pets that have been left in locked hot cars.  They also talked about pet safety and comfort when pets are going on a road trip with the family.  Subaru of South Blvd joined them to show some of the pet safety products that are available.  They also dropped off some much needed supplies for the shelter.

Animal Care and Control is currently at ‘cat-pacity’ and in need of homes for these furry four-legged bundles.  AC&C is not only looking for great forever families for these cats, but also volunteers to help foster and care for these cats before they are adopted.

CMPD AC&C has had so many adoptions that they ran out of carriers for the pets, but our favorite chicken and biscuit restaurant,  Bojangles, came to the rescue.  They donated big Bo boxes for carrier boxes.  A big thumbs up from Wilson!
