UNC Charlotte Shooting Victim Takes First Steps Nearly Two Weeks Since Deadly Shooting

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Drew Pescaro, one of the students injured during the April 30th shooting at UNC Charlotte, posted a video on his Twitter page as he took his first steps since the shooting.

Drew Pescaro has undergone two surgeries for the injuries he sustained in the shooting.

Riley C. Howell and Ellis “Reed” Parlier were both killed in the shooting.  Pescaro and three other students were injured.

The suspect is accused of walking into a classroom inside the Kennedy Building on campus and opening fire.  He has since been indicted with two counts of murder and a slew of other charges.

Several celebrities have visited with Pescaro while he has been in the hospital.  He posted pictures with Panthers’ wide receiver Chris Hogan, the Browns’ defensive tackle Larry Ogunjobi and the President of the Charlotte Hornets Fred Whitfield.
