CHARLOTTE, N.C. –  As part of Black History Month, The Charlotte Museum of History’s Lunch & Learn Series will celebrate and share the history of African American Ring Shout dances. Tamara Williams, Assistant Professor of Dance UNC CHARLOTTE,Β  and Adria Focht, President & CEO of The Charlotte Museum of History, join Wilson to talk about the virtual event. On Thursday, Feb. 4 at noonβ€Ž Tamara Williams along with filmmaker Marlon Morrison will share the history of African American Ring Shout dances and the creation of the piece β€œRemembrance” for UNC Charlotte’s Fall Dance Concert.
