Union County Sheriff’s Office arrests 3 men in separate child exploitation investigations

UNION CO., N.C – Three men in Union County have been arrested and charged in separate child exploitation investigations. The investigations stemmed from reports of inappropriate online activity involving the possession and downloading of child sexual abuse materials.

Timothy Barnett, Brian Bass and Michael Davis are each charged with ten counts of felony second-degree sexual exploitation of a minor. Union County Sheriff’s Office investigators say they found the evidence downloaded on electronic devices.

We are told detectives also received vital information from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. All three suspects are still in custody.
