It is Severe Weather Preparedness Week in the Carolinas and part of staying prepared is knowing where to go in the event a tornado strikes.
The statewide tornado drill that was scheduled for Wednesday, March 5th has been postponed due to possible severe weather. The drill in South Carolina is now at 9:00 am on Friday, March 7th and at 9:30 am in North Carolina.
This drill will activate NOAA Weather Radios and the Emergency Alert Systems. There will NOT be an actual Tornado Warning issued at this time.
Businesses, schools and families are encouraged to participate during this time.
