Columbia University closer to restoring funding

NEW YORK, NY-  Columbia University is close to striking a deal with the Trump Administration.

The agreement would help restore federal funding to the school.
A source says Columbia is expected to pay a multimillion-dollar settlement to victims of alleged civil rights violations and take other steps to improve security and safety on campus for Jewish students.
The deal would help the school regain access to more than $400,000,000 in federal funding, stripped earlier this year by the Trump Administration.

Sources say the administration believes the deal with Columbia can serve as a blueprint for other schools.

That includes the Trump Administration’s on-going feud with Harvard University.
