CHARLOTTE, N.C. – CMPD says one person is dead after a shooting near the Target on Metropolitan Avenue in Charlotte. Police responded to the call about shots fired around 10:00 Wednesday evening at 900 Metropolitan Avenue in the parking deck.
WCCB crews saw detectives with CMPD’s homicide unit searching the fourth floor of the parking deck searching for evidence and taking pictures of the scene. CMPD announced the victim died from their injuries in a post on X.
CMPD did not release any information about the victim or suspect in the case.
