Death investigation underway after man’s body found in east Charlotte

Police are conducting a death investigation in east Charlotte.

Police say they found 54-year-old Thomas Carter’s body in the bushes between a gas station and a strip mall just after 4 p.m. Saturday afternoon.

This is along Central Avenue near East Crest Drive. Police say the man had trauma to the head.

There’s no word on how long the body had been there.
