Early morning rain, drying out by this afternoon

Another round of rain Wednesday morning

As you’re heading out the door this Tuesday morning, don’t be surprised if you run into a few scattered showers. The day is starting off with pockets of spotty rain across the area but not a total washout, but enough to make for a damp commute in some spots. It’s going to be pretty hit-or-miss, so while one neighborhood deals with a quick shower, another may stay completely dry.

Temperatures are starting off mild, in the low to mid 60s, and will gradually warm into the low to mid 70s. If we manage to squeeze in a few breaks of sunshine, some areas could edge a bit warmerbut overall, clouds and passing showers will keep things in check.

We’ll follow a similar setup into Wednesday morning, with another round of rain arriving early in the day. This time, though, coverage looks more widespread, and we could see a few heavier downpours at times. Storms are expected to stay below severe limits, but I’m waiting for an upgrade from SPC. Morning lows will once again be in the mid 60s, with afternoon highs topping out in the mid to upper 70s thanks to the extra clouds and rain.

The bigger picture here is actually a step in the right direction. This pattern shift brings a more active stretch after all the dry weather we’ve been dealing with. That said, it’s not enough to erase the drought conditions we’re still facing. We should watch for more water restrictions to go into place Friday.

Thursday is the ideal day being nice and dry with highs sitting at average!
