80s and sunny skies Monday
Tracking rain Wednesday evening
Monday morning is going to feel pretty cool again, with lows in the mid to upper 40s across the region. It will warm up nicely by the afternoon, with highs climbing close to 80 degrees. We’ll have plenty of sunshine, and that bright, warm pattern sticks around into Tuesday, when temperatures inch up a few more degrees.
By Wednesday, things start to shift a bit. Showers and storms out to our west move in, and will impact our area late Wednesday. Beneficial rain could work its way in Wednesday night into Thursday impacting the early morning commute. That rain would definitely be a good thing as we continue dealing with drought conditions. High resolution models will come into play soon, but this does look to be a widespread event. Also to note this rain won’t show up on this week’s drought monitor so prepare for things to get worse with more water restrictions beginning Friday.
Looking ahead to the end of the week, the forecast gets a little uncertain. Some models suggest a system sliding in from the south, bringing more clouds, cooler temperatures, and maybe even some rain. Others keep things mostly sunny. Either way, it doesn’t look like temperatures will get out of the 70s.
