NC lawmakers call on local leaders to answer questions about gruesome Moody child abuse case
CHARLOTTE, N.C. – North Carolina lawmakers want local leaders to answer questions about a gruesome case of child abuse in Charlotte. Six-year-old Dominique Moody died in December, after being found living in feces and urine at a home in east Charlotte. She was also severely under-weight.
The State House Oversight Committee is calling on several people to testify about what happened, including CMPD Chief Estella Patterson, Sheriff Garry McFadden and Mecklenburg County Manager Mike Bryant.
They also want to hear from the county’s former DSS director and the HHS division director.
