NBA-FREE AGENCY-LEBRON

LeBron pondering next move

LAS VEGAS (AP) β€” LeBron James held meetings for more than three hours in Las Vegas, but left without giving any indication of what team he’ll play for next season.

The person spoke to The Associated Press on condition of anonymity because no one has publicly announced the date of the meeting.

Some of James’ representatives have met with several teams, including the Cleveland Cavaliers.

NBA-STERLING

Clippers owner testy in court

LOS ANGELES (AP) β€” Donald Sterling was testy during his 90-minute appearance on the witness stand as he challenges his wife’s proposed $2 billion sale of the Los Angeles Clippers.

Sterling denounced doctors who declared him to have Alzheimer’s disease as “hired guns,” pleading a faulty memory about some of his most controversial remarks and repeatedly drawing laughter from spectators during the non-jury trial.

Sterling is due back on the stand this afternoon. The 80-year-old billionaire contends that his estranged wife, Shelly, had no authority to singlehandedly arrange a team sale to former Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer.

Sterling says he believes he can get billions more by selling Clippers TV rights to Fox and if he wins an antitrust suit against the NBA.
