‘I’m Glad To See It’: People In Charlotte Enjoyed A Snowy Sunday Winter Wonderland

CHARLOTTE — Many people across Charlotte have been hoping to see at least a significant amount of snow for nearly four years. Sunday morning they finally got it.

A couple of inches of snow fell across the Charlotte area and people soaked in all its beauty.

We found many people walking to the Harris Teeter on Park Road, looking for some good food. For the most part, the roads across the city were treacherous, but we found crews clearing away the snow and ice all throughout the day. We asked people what they thought about this snowy Sunday in the Queen City.

“It wasn’t bad, definitely a little slippery, a little slushy out there, but I’ve seen worse, I’m from Massachusetts, so it could be worse, but they’re salting and doing what they can,” says William Athanas, Charlotte Resident.

“I walked all the way around trying to find something open and thankfully Harris Teeter was,” says Kyle Brading, Charlotte Resident.

Officials urged people to stay off the roads for the next few days until the snow clears.
