Spieth was placed in the same group as Jason Day and Justin Rose, which tees off at 5:17 p.m. EDT in round one Thursday. HARRISON, N.Y. (AP) β€” Hall of Famer Karrie (KAHR’-ee) Webb birdied the 18th hole for a 2-under-par 71 to take the lead early in the second round of the Women’s PGA Championship. The 40-year-old, seven-time major winner is 7-under, good for a one-shot edge over Canadian teenager Brooke Henderson, who shot a 73.

MEMPHIS, Tenn. (AP) β€” Chris Smith and Scotland’s Russell Knox are tied for the clubhouse lead early in the second round of the St. Jude Classic at 6-under par. Smith posted a second straight 3-under 67, while Knox recorded a bogey-free 64.

BOSTON (AP) β€” Former Patriots linebacker Brandon Spikes has been cited by state police for rear-ending another vehicle on a Massachusetts highway, then leaving the scene. His car was found abandoned in the median of an interstate early Sunday morning. The Patriots cut Spikes on Monday.
