Deputies: Morganton Man Arrested, Charged For Trafficking Meth
BURKE COUNTY, N.C. — A 51-year-old Morganton man is facing multiple charges after Burke County deputies seized over five pounds of meth during a property search.
After a lengthy undercover investigation by Burke County investigators, a search warrant was executed on a Coldwater Street property in Connelly Springs on March 18.
The suspect, identified as Gregory Gowan, was located at the property and detained by authorities.
During the search, investigators seized over five pounds of methamphetamine, over a pound of marijuana and items of drug paraphernalia.
Gowan was arrested and transported to the magistrate’s office where he was charged with felony trafficking in methamphetamine, felony possession with intent to manufacture/sell/deliver methamphetamine and felony maintaining a vehicle/dwelling/place for controlled substance, according to deputies.
