An Unsettled & Warm Week Ahead
Discussion:
It will be an active week with a chance of showers and storms in the forecast almost every day this week. A series of disturbances will cross the region bringing scattered showers and storms Tuesday and Wednesday. Friday looks to be our most active day with scattered to numerous showers as a cold front moves through. No one day looks to be a washout and we are not expecting widespread severe weather, however, isolated afternoon storms producing gusty winds, frequent lightning and small hail are possible.
Forecast:
Tonight: Partly cloudy and mild. Low temperatures bottom out in the low to mid 60s.
Tuesday: Hot and humid with scattered showers and isolated storms possible in the afternoon. High temperatures top out in the upper 80s. Wind will be out of the southwest at 10-20 mph.
Wednesday: Scattered showers and isolated storms. High temperatures top out in the upper 80s. Winds will be out of the west/southwest at 5-10 mph.
Thursday (Cinco de Mayo): Mostly sunny with a few showers possible in the evening. Mid to upper 80s.
Friday: A cold front will bring scattered to numerous showers likely in the afternoon and evening. We will fine-tune the timing and potential severe weather threat over the next couple of days.
Have a wonderful week!
