ESPN: 11 of 12 Patriots’ Footballs Under-Inflated

BOSTON, M.A. — According to ESPN, the NFL has found that 11 of 12 game balls used by the New England Patriots did not meet the NFL’s inflation requirements. Investigators found that the footballs were inflated 2 pounds per square inch under the leagues’ requirement.

ESPN sources also say that the Indianapolis Colts had concerns that the Patriots were deflating balls in their earlier match up during the regular season. The league was aware of these issues going into the AFC Championship game according to ESPN.

Patriots head coach, Bill Belichick, says that the team will, “cooperate fully with whatever the league wants us to.”

The NFL is further investigating how these footballs ended up under inflated and they have yet to determine what type of penalties should be enforced.

ESPN says that the NFL should wrap up its investigation in the next 2 or 3 days.

The Patriots will take on the Seattle Seahawks in Super Bowl XLIX Sunday, February 1st at 6:30 PM in Glendale, Arizona.
