CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Authorities in Union County have confirmed that a pilot has died in a small plane crash in the Marshville area.
The single engine plane went down around 7 p.m. Thursday night in a wooded area off Tarlton Mill Road.
Authorities say the pilot was a middle-aged man, but they have not released his name at this time.
