CHARLOTTE, N.C. β The Salvation Army of Greater Charlotte will hold a ceremony to kick off its annual Christmas giving program, the Red Kettle Campaign.
The event will include holiday music from a Salvation Army brass ensemble and a ceremonial first contribution to the Red Kettle Campaign. This marks the 118thΒ year of the campaign in Charlotte.
The Red Kettle Campaign has been a staple of the Christmas season across the nation for more than 125 years. Dozens of Kettles will be placed throughout the Charlotte Metro region to collect funds that are critical for providing year-round services to families experiencing homelessness, out-of-school programs for youth in our community and more.
The Salvation Army makes it easy for donors to give back during the Christmas season with digital giving at the Kettle. Donors can make a contribution with Apple Pay, Google Pay, Venmo or Paypal at the Kettle. You can also give online to the Virtual Red Kettle atΒ SalvationArmyCharlotte.org.
The Salvation Army and Belk are officially announcing giving programs for Belk shoppers this holiday season including being a Red Kettle partner location, a toy drive collection point, and launching an at-the-register donation option.
