Bus Driver Suspended After Encouraging Fight
CHARLOTTE, NC– A CMS bus driver is suspended accused of encouraging two students to fight.
The grandmother of one of the girls sent WCCB Charlotte this cell phone video. She says the fight happened on Atlas Cedar Drive in East Charlotte on Tuesday. The girls attend North Ridge Middle School.
Gloria Jackson says the bus driver allowed the mother of the other girl to get on the bus, and that both of them encouraged their daughters to start fighting.
“I was expecting this bus driver to transport my child to school safely and bring her back home. But instead, you’re encouraging the children to fight… The children were put in a very dangerous situation yesterday. At that point, anything could’ve happened.” said Jackson.
Jackson says the driver even got off the bus to record the fight herself.
