Arrest Made In Hickory Homicide Case

[UPDATE]

Police have arrested 54-year-old Glen McQuay of Hickory and charged him with the murder of Stephanie Harvey.

Officials say McQuay is being held without bond.

HICKORY, NC — Police are trying to locate a person of interest after a woman was found dead lying in the yard outside of her home Wednesday morning.

Around 8:25am Wednesday police were called to 421 2nd Street SW in reference to a civil disturbance. Police found 50-year-old Stephanie Harvey lying in the grass outside her home with severe burns to her upper body.

Harvey was pronounced dead on the scene.

Police say the incident is being investigated as a domestic homicide.
