Belmont Police Release Video Footage After More Than 50 Gunshots Fired Into Two Homes

The Belmont Police Department released video footage of the suspect vehicles involved in a shooting where more than 50 gunshots were fired into two homes. . Further investigation reveals that the Belmont Police Department have received eight calls for service at the home since 2021.

One of those incidents involved the response of the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department’s Violent Criminal Apprehension Team which responded to the home to apprehend a murder suspect in 2022.

BELMONT, N.C.– Police responded to a call regarding gunshots Sunday night in a neighborhood in Belmont. According to officers, 57 shell casings were found outside two homes on Nixon Road. Fortunately there were no injuries reported. Gaston County Crime Scene and detectives responded. According to police a search warrant was obtained for one of those homes. Anyone with information on this case is asked to call Belmont Police.
