Police: Former Employees Rob Bojangles In Kershaw

KERSHAW, S.C. – Two former Bojangles employees were charged with burglary from the restaurant they formerly worked at, according to the deputies.

Deputies say on the morning of February 14th they responded to the Bojangles on South Hampton Street after money was found missing. After an investigation, the police determined the building was entered using a key.

Prior to the burglary, 25-year-old Sha’Keidra Collins stopped working for the restaurant a week before the burglary and her boyfriend 21-year-old Marquise Mickle left employment with the restaurant the evening before the burglary, according to a news release.

It was reported that Collins did not return her key for the building.

After obtaining search warrants, investigators searched the couple’s car on February 15th. Evidence was collected connecting the couple to the burglary.

Investigators determined Mickle and Collins drove to the restaurant at midnight, and Collins’ key was used for Mickle to enter the building.

It was reported that he was in and out for about one minute and left with cash from the office area.

He allegedly dropped several ten dollar bills, which were found by deputies on the ground at the carwash next door.

Mickle and Collins were present when the search was conducted, and they were arrested and taken to the Lancaster County Detention Center. Each is charged with second degree burglary, larceny, and conspiracy to commit burglary.

Collins is also charged with breach of trust with fraudulent intent less than $2,000.00 for keeping her key to the restaurant after she left employment. Bonds totaling $11,000.00 were set for Mickle, and Collins’ bonds were set at $7,000.00.

Both posted bond Thursday and were released.
