McCrory: Roof Rescues Underway, 10 Dead In NC After Hurricane Matthew

RALEIGH, N.C. — Gov. McCrory provided an update on the impacts Hurricane Matthew is having in North Carolina.
Flooding is the major concern after the powerful storm hit the state over the weekend. Β Several counties have had mandatory evacuations after breaches.
Roof rescues are underway in Lumberton Monday morning after a levee breached. Β Many homes and business can be seen underwater in cities like Lumberton, Wilson and Fayetteville.
McCrory said the state has had over 1,400 water rescues. Β Ten total people have died in the state from Hurricane Matthew and five people are missing.
