CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Two members of a Drug Trafficking Organization in Charlotte were sentenced to 10 years in prison for trafficking a large sum of cocaine, according to the United States Attorney’s Office.
Carlos Hernandez Landeiro, 33, and Holly Christine Furlough, 31, were both handed 10 years in prison followed by 10 years of supervised release. A third member, 44-year-old Dante Rashaun Ramseur, was dealt 10 years and one month in prison followed by six years of supervised release.
Investigators determined that the three were involved in a drug trafficking operation where Landeiro and Furlough would supply cocaine to Ramseur. He would then distribute the drugs in the Hickory area.
Authorities executed a search warrant at Landerio and Furlough’s home on February 13th 2023. Their residence is also right next to a Charlotte high school, officials said.
At the residence, officials said they seized over 26 kilograms of cocaine, drug paraphernalia to include a vacuum sealer, a money counter and over $120,000 in cash.
Landeiro and Furlough pleaded guilty in September of 2023 to the following charges:
- Possession with intent to distribute cocaine
- Possession with intent to distribute cocaine near a school
