Murder Trial Of Former N. Charleston Officer Set To Begin

CHARLESTON, SC– Opening statements are set for Thursday in the trial of a former North Charleston police officer charged with murder.

Cell phone video shows Michael Slager shooting Walter Scott as he ran away during a traffic stop last year. The jury is made up of six white men, five white women and one black man.
