CHARLOTTE, N.C. – A GoFundMe has been created for Tariq Stokes after he was beaten to death outside of his home.
His wife started the fundraiser in his honor. Stokes was killed one day before his daughter’s 13th birthday.
“He was a loving and hardworking husband and father. He was brutally and senselessly murdered while protecting his family,” the fundraiser reads.
