Morganton Man Charged With Sex Crimes Involving Minor

MORGANTON, N.C. – A Morganton man is facing charges after engaging in sexual activity with a child 15 years or younger, according to a news release.

The Burke County Sheriff’s Office were alerted to a sexual assault that occurred on April 8th.

Following an investigation into the report, officers arrested 21-year-old Kevin Dawayne Hardin on Wednesday, April 17th.

Hardin is charged with three counts of first-degree sexual exploitation of a minor and statutory sexual offense with a child 15 years or younger.

Hardin is being held without bond at the Burke County Jail.
