CHARLOTTE, N.C. – A 17-year-old has been charged with the murder of 21-year-old Abijah Barkley following an extensive investigation.
On Saturday, March 9th, shortly after 7 p.m. Officers responded to a call for a suspected overdose on Fairwood Avenue.
Upon arrival officers discovered a male victim who was suffering from gunshot wounds. The victim was transported to the hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.
As a result of the investigation, the teen victim was arrested and transferred to the North Carolina Department Of Juvenile Justice.
