Officials have identified the victim from the fatal hit-and-run as 21-year-old Joshua Moore.
Moore was a resident of Rock Hill when he was riding a motorcycle that was hit by a car.
Moore was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Rock Hill Police Department is investigating the crash.
Autopsy and toxicology tests are pending.
ROCK HILL, S.C. — The Rock Hill Police are investigating a hit-and-run accident that killed a motorcyclist at the intersection of Heckle Boulevard and Russell street Saturday afternoon.
Authorities say a man was driving a black Chrysler 300 with paper tags, when he ran a ย stop sign and struck a motorcycle in the intersection before crashing into a wood line.
The motorcycle operator was thrown from the vehicle and died at the scene.
The driver of the Chrysler fled the scene on foot, and later carjacked a white, year 2000 model, Jeep Cherokee with North Carolina license plate EAZ-7956.
Th suspect is described as a light-skinned back man with curly hair, a burgundy shirt, black pants, and no shoes.
