WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Rock Hill family of a mail carrier shot and killed in Maryland has traveled to Washington, D.C. hoping their protests will change the way when the mail is delivered.
Twenty-six year old Tyson Barnette was delivering mail after dark on Saturday, November 23rd when he was gunned down in what police think may have been a robbery attempt. After 2 months, there are still no arrests in the incident. A $125,000 reward is being offered for information leading to conviction.
Friends, family and postal workers are pushing for changes that no mail should be delivered after dark.
