New Clues In Albemarle Teen’s Disappearance
ALBEMARLE, N.C. — Baylee Carver’s body is still missing, while Joshua Biles says he can’t remember where it is. On Monday, Albemarle Police asked people to check their Ring cameras for any activity involving a 1999 two-door red Honda Civic with black wheels from Friday, May 10th, between 3am and 4:30am.
WCCB Charlotte’s Emma Mondo went to Floral Drive on Monday, where she saw the same car police told the public to look for on their Ring videos.
A neighbor spoke with Mondo about what’s happened over the past four days. She did not want to go on camera, but tells Mondo that Josh Biles was not the perfect neighbor.
“He was going on people’s back porches and destroying their property and vehicles. He pulled a gun on somebody about a year and a half, two years ago,” she said. She continued, “We all in the neighborhood knew it had something to do with him because the police are over there regularly compared to everybody else’s houses.”
While Mondo and the neighbor were talking, a small private search team arrived to look in the woods behind Biles’ house.
The small search party also recognized the car and also all looked through the windows from the street. They saw a bloody napkin in the front passenger seat and a bloody fast food bag in the back seat.
The search party called the police to let them know what they found.
Police arrived on scene and told them that they were trespassing, even though the Honda Civic was parked on a public road.
A police officer told Mondo off camera that the red Honda Civic had already been processed, but neighbors tell her that the car has not been touched or moved by anyone, including police, since Friday morning.
They also tell Mondo that police towed away Biles’ second car as well as his mother’s car, but not this red Honda.
After sending people away, the police did decide to tow away the Honda Civic.
“He knows where she is, to me, he seems like a very selfish, entitled narcissist, and this is a game to him,” says a neighbor.
Biles is still in custody at the Stanly County jail on a $250,000 bond. He is charged with obstruction and concealment of death. Neighbors say they want the Albemarle Police to hold a press conference to get all the facts straight, because they say that will help get Baylee’s remains home as soon as possible.
