Deputies Find Meth Lab While Serving Probation Violation Warrants

MORGANTON, NC — Burke County deputies arrested two suspects Wednesday after finding a meth lab at their home while serving warrants for probation violations.

According to officials, Jason Ford, 35, and Desarae Jiron, 28, had previously tested positive after meeting with their probation officer. When deputies went to serve warrants for the violation to their home on Jenkins Road they found an active meth lab at the residence.

Additional narcotics officers and SBI were called in to shut down the lab, and Ford and Jiron were taken into custody.

The pair are now charged with felony Manufacture Methamphetamine, felony Possession of Immediate Precursor to Manufacture Methamphetamine, and misdemeanor Probation Violation.
