Good News Coming From Horton Fire

CHARLOTTE, NC- Good news tonight about the Horton Fire burning near homes in Watauga County.

That fire is 65% contained. It has burned around 900 acres since it started late Monday night.

The Forestry Service hopes to have the fire completely contained by Friday.

So far, no homes have burned, but some people in the area say it’s definitely more difficult to breath.

Fire crews from Arizona, New Jersey and Florida are helping battle the Horton Fire.
