Fourth Man Arrested For Fatal Shooting Of Three-Year-Old In 2021

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Police have arrested and charged a fourth man in connection to a fatal drive-by shooting in northwest Charlotte that killed a three-year-old boy in 2021.

Datonio Stephens, 25, was located and arrested on Friday, September 20th. He has been charged with murder, eight counts of attempted murder, nine counts of shooting into an occupied dwelling and conspiracy to commit murder.

The shooting happened on September 8th, 2021 on Richard Rozzelle Drive. Over 150 bullets were fired into a home, and three-year-old Asiah Figueroa was struck and killed. His four-year-old sister was also hit, but survived.

Stephens is the fourth suspect arrested in connection to this case. Qua’Tonio Stephens, Jacob Lanier and Kaleb Lawrence were all arrested days after the shooting. 

Earlier this year on January 5th, police obtained a warrant for murder against 22-year-old Bryce Felder. It is unclear if he is in custody.
