MIAMI (AP) β€” Miami All-Star guard Dwyane (DWAYN) Wade is returning for a 13th season with the Heat. Wade accepted a $20 million, one-year deal to stay with the Heat next season, ending his latest foray into free agency, although the deal officially cannot officially be signed until July 9.

PORTLAND, Ore. (AP)β€” A person with knowledge of the deal says Portland Trail Blazers guard Damian Lillard has agreed to terms on a five-year contract worth more than $120 million. The full value of the contract could wind up ranging between $125 million and $129 million and won’t be determined until the salary cap is established. That makes it the richest contract in league history for a guard.

UNDATED (AP) β€” Three-time All-Pro tight end Antonio Gates of San Diego will be suspended the first four games of the 2015 season along with New York Jets defensive lineman Sheldon Richardson and Dallas linebacker Rolando McClain for violating NFL drug policies. Gates’ suspension is over the league’s ban on performance-enhancing drugs, while Richardson and McClain will be sidelined under the substance abuse policy.

CLEVELAND (AP) β€” Cleveland Cavaliers center Timofey Mozgov has undergone successful right knee arthroscopic surgery and the team says he’ll be out about six weeks. Late last month, the team picked up the $5 million option on his contract for next season.

WHITE SULPHUR SPRINGS, W.Va. (AP) β€” Tiger Woods rebounded from a dismal U.S. Open with a 4-under-par 66 in the opening round of The Greenbrier Classic. That’s four shots behind first-round leader Scott Langley, who fired a 62.
