CHESTER: A man in Chester, South Carolina, was charged with voyeurism Sunday after a report that he had hidden a cell phone inside a teen girl’s bedroom, in hopes of catching her naked.
The man, identified as Jerald Jermaine Gore, isΒ an acquaintance of the childβs mother, according to local law enforcement.
The teen informedΒ officers that she had just gotten out of the shower and was getting ready for church when sheΒ heard a low battery sound coming from theΒ phone, which was hidden in a bag on her dresser.
She also informed officersΒ that the phone had captured footage of her getting out of the shower.
GoreΒ admitted to putting the phone in the girlβs room, but denied that he was trying to record the teen, the report said.
Gore has sense beenΒ charged and later given bond and released pending a court date. The phone itself was taken by authorities as evidence in the crime.
