CHESTER: A man in Chester, South Carolina, was charged with voyeurism Sunday after a report that he had hidden a cell phone inside a teen girl’s bedroom, in hopes of catching her naked.
The man, identified as Jerald Jermaine Gore, is an acquaintance of the child’s mother, according to local law enforcement.
The teen informed officers that she had just gotten out of the shower and was getting ready for church when she heard a low battery sound coming from the phone, which was hidden in a bag on her dresser.
She also informed officers that the phone had captured footage of her getting out of the shower.
Gore admitted to putting the phone in the girl’s room, but denied that he was trying to record the teen, the report said.
Gore has sense been charged and later given bond and released pending a court date. The phone itself was taken by authorities as evidence in the crime.
