HICKORY, N.C. — Police say they arrested a man for robbing a Christian book store in Hickory.
Investigators say they responded to Lifeway Christian Store on Highway 70 SE on May 5th in reference to a robbery that occurred just before 6pm.
The suspect, Christopher Leatherman, is accused of entering the store, approaching the register and requesting money from an employee. Police say no weapons were presented during the incident.
Leatherman has been charged with common law robbery.
