IREDELL COUNTY, N.C. — Two lanes on I-77 North past exit 31 are closed, as crews repair signage damaged in a wreck earlier today.
According to the North Carolina Department of Transportation, the sign damage posed a safety risk to drivers.
Traffic is backed up to at least exit 19, which is I-485, and drivers are advised to seek alternate routes.
The lanes are expected to be reopened later this afternoon.
