Crooked Creek Fire: According to the N.C. Forest Service, the Crooked Creek Fire that burned 220 acres in McDowell County is now 100% contained as of 4:30 pm.
Forecast:
Tonight: Cloudy. Lows in the mid 50s.
Friday: Rain rolls into the mountains around lunch time. Piedmont rain will move in from west to east right around the evening commute and stick around through the evening. Isolated thunderstorms are possible, but nothing severe is expected. Highs in the upper 60s, near 70.
Saturday: Sunny with highs in the low 60s.
Sunday: Partly sunny. Highs in the upper 50s, near 60.
