Black Hawk from Potomac crash recovered
WASHINGTON, D.C.– The National Transportation Safety Board says it has recovered more wreckage from the Potomac River. The update says searchers recovered much of the Black Hawk helicopter. That helicopter collided with an American Airlines plane on January 29th in mid-air near Reagan National Airport. The wreckage is expected to be transferred from a barge to a secure location today. The recovered debris also included additional pieces of the airplane. The NTSB has still not located the helicopter’s right engine and tail rotor. Investigators are continuing to analyze flight data for both aircraft.
