CORNELIUS, NC — One person has life threatening injuries after a fire broke out in an apartment Thursday afternoon.
Officials say the fire started around 3:30pm at the Renaissance at Antiquity Apartments. Our WCCB crew on scene says there was no visible damage to the outside of the apartment, but there was a burned mattress laying outside.
Officials say one person was transported with life threatening injuries. Medic says the person was suffering from burns and smoke inhalation.
The officials cause of the fire has not been released.
