Couch Chat: Aaron Hernandez Suffered From CTE

We now know Patriots player, Aaron Hernandez suffered from CTE… The 27 year old had the brain of a 67 year old when he died. Doctors say, it’s one of the worst cases they’ve ever seen. His fiance is now suing the NFL and the Patriots for $20 Million on their daughter’s behalf.

We’re still waiting for the NFL to respond. All of this comes on the heels of the league’s $9 Million concussion settlement. The pay outs are for not only CTE but include ALS, Parkinson’s and Alzheimer’s.

Eligible players must be int he league for 5 years and be diagnosed by their 45th birthday. What should the NFL’s game plan be from here on out?
