BURKE COUNTY, NC — Deputies have charged a 27-year-old man with stealing an activity bus from the East Burke High School parking lot.
On September 25, deputies say the principal reported the 1990 Chevrolet activity bus stolen from the school’s parking lot. The suspect was identified as Geoffrey York after the bus was later found in a neighboring county.
York was arrested at a home in Drexel, NC Wednesday and charged with felonious larceny of a motor vehicle and felonious possession of stolen goods. He is being held under a $30,000 secured bond.
